Presented by Ananda Lila Kirtan + Zig Tahir + friends
As nature turns inward, the evening makes space for endings, release, transformation and new beginnings: the seasons and stages that have passed, and the people we carry with us. Through kirtan, mantra, ecstatic dance, meditation and integration you can open your voice, move energy, let go of what no longer serves, and settle into the season ahead.
Come sing. Come move. Come release. Come celebrate. No dance or chanting experience needed.
Honoring the turning of the seasons · Opening to transformation · Embracing the in-between

Mantra music
A family of musicians weaving ancient chants from many traditions with newly written sacred songs: accordion, harp, world rhythms, voices, gong and ambient soundscapes. They have been sharing kirtan around the Midwest since 2010, including at the Blue Lotus Buddhist Temple, the Theosophical Society and Himalayan Yoga & Meditation Center.

Bring an offering
Feel free to bring photos and sacred items for the ancestor altar: something to be with your ancestors and with the space of becoming. You're welcome to honor those who have passed, light a candle and remember them in your own way, and there will be a moment during the dance to raise love and energy for our beloveds.
