Our vision
Healing communities and empowering individuals through the transformative power of ecstatic dance.
This started as a sketch in January 2025. Ania had just started her own ecstatic dance, and David was sponsoring and supporting it. Watching those dances showed him how much a simple, well-held morning can change someone's week. About 18 months later, he started Ecstatic Dance Suburbia.
Today that looks like sober, barefoot Sunday mornings in Arlington Heights and Palatine: a DJ-led wave, a closing circle, and tea for as long as you like. A small crew sets the room, holds the door and looks after the people who come.
The idea is bigger than one room. We want running a dance to be simple enough that a facilitator, DJ or healer who loves this work can host one in their own town, with the tools, the playbook and the support to do it well.
Where we're going
Step 1 · happening now
Start local
Refine the system with satellite dances around the Chicago suburbs.
Step 2
Build a brand
Train teams, support healers and DJs, and make every dance consistently good.
Step 3
Expand
License the framework so ecstatic dance hubs can open in other places.
We're on the first step. There's no franchise or certification yet. We're building it with the first people who want to lead.
Want to help build it?
If you hold space, play music, teach, or want to bring a dance to your town, we'd love to talk.
