Those are the words of DJ Big Heart-Chicago ❤️, shared with permission. For years his body lived in chronic pain. He had tried everything. Then he found a dance floor — and on it, something he couldn't find anywhere else: a way for his nervous system to finally put the weight down.
That's not a rare story. It's the story of almost everyone who keeps coming back. Caregivers who haven't felt their own body in months. Men who haven't cried in years. Mothers, widowers, recovering people, tired people, joyful people — all of them moving the unspeakable through their hips and their feet and their breath until something inside them softens.
When you sponsor a dance, you're not buying a party. You're funding the room where transformation happens. For someone you'll never meet. On a Sunday morning that may turn out to be the most important morning of their year.
