Liability Waiver & Release
I understand that ecstatic dance is a free-form, barefoot, physical practice that involves vigorous movement, contact with the floor and other dancers, exposure to loud music and low light, and emotional release. I am voluntarily choosing to participate.
I confirm that I am physically and mentally fit to participate, and that I have consulted a medical professional about any condition that could be affected by physical activity, loud music, or emotional intensity. I will move within my own limits and rest when I need to.
I will not participate under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs, and I will respect this as a sober space.
I assume all risks of injury, illness, or loss arising from my participation, including risks I cannot foresee, and I take full responsibility for my own safety, well-being, and belongings.
On behalf of myself, my heirs, and my personal representatives, I release and hold harmless Ecstatic Dance Suburbia, Mainwood Dance Club, and their organizers, DJs, volunteers, and venue partners from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of my participation, except for claims arising from gross negligence or willful misconduct.
If I am bringing a minor for whom I am the parent or legal guardian, I sign this waiver on their behalf as well, and I confirm I have the legal authority to do so. I take full responsibility for the minor's participation and supervision.
I have read, understood, and freely agreed to this waiver.

The three soft agreements
Barefoot if you can — clean socks or soft indoor shoes are welcome if you have a medical or physical reason.
Wordless on the floor — words are always okay for consent or care, but otherwise we let the body lead.
Phones away — leave them in your bag so we can be fully here together.
Sober space
This is a sober practice. No alcohol or recreational substances before or during the dance. The journey comes from the music, the movement, and the room.
Consent and touch
This is a non-sexual space. If you want to dance with someone, make eye contact and wait for a clear yes. A 'no' can be a turn-away, 🙏, or a hand up — respect it without taking it personally. You can end any dance at any moment, no explanation needed.
No guided instruction
There is no teacher, no choreography, and no steps to learn. The DJ holds the wave; you find your own movement. Please don't try to lead, instruct, or correct other dancers on the floor.
Arrival, late entry, and leaving early
Doors open 9:30 AM and the opening circle begins at 9:50 AM. To protect the container, late entry closes once the opening circle starts — please plan to arrive early.
If you need to slip out early, do so quietly between tracks. The floor stays open.
Tickets and changes
Tickets are non-refundable. Your ticket is good for any Sunday for 90 days from the date you select — if life happens, just come to a later one. If you bought extra tickets to share with friends, they're yours to use however helps within the same 90-day window.
Photography
No personal photography or recording on the dance floor — ever. Occasionally we may take a few wide, non-identifying photos for our own use; we'll always tell you in the opening circle and you can opt out.
Showing up with care
Come with kindness, an open mind, and an open heart — free of judgment toward yourself or others. If something is hard, our team is here. If something feels off, please tell us.
